A Poem by Sanjoy kumar Nag

A Teacher with a passion for reading, writing and analysis of present scenario. A memory, an experience or an imagination can be transformed into an immortal entity with the wings of poetry. Art makes things eternal by its perceptual omnipotence. The author has an intense belief in what is happening has a silver lining with a universal appeal. There is no light without darkness and darkness without a twilight. Nothing is permanent; change is universal; adaptation is life; change is truth; but, stability is death and ignorance darkness.

Poems by Prajit Jana

Prajit Jana(Born: 29.06.1959) is a well-known Bengali poet, who would occasionally
switch to English as his other preferred medium of expression. When he does so, he
does it elegantly, hitting the right nuance, tone and diction of the language.
Prajit has no less than twelve published Bengali poetry titles to his credit – the first
having been published in 1984 and the last(Kobita Sangraha) only recently. His
poetry title Prolapsarani brought the recognition of Birendra Puruskar in 2011.
Prajit’s poetry revolves around the innermost layers of our subconscious. When he deals
with the external, he internalizes it organically, to make it part of an internal journey.
Often mysterious & multi-layered, dotted with unpredictable twists and turns – his
poems evoke to some critics a deep sense of ennui ingrained in his poetic journey.
In the role of an editor, he has successfully edited Vinno Ashi(a selection of Bengali
poems by powerful but lesser known poets of the eighties), Saptak and Trapeze - the
latter two being the poetry-oriented cultural magazines published in Bangla.
Prajit has also left behind a trail of edit page articles in national English and Bangla
newspapers with focus on art, literature and cinema.
